2010 Arkansas Kayak & Canoe Race
This years race had the fastest competition that we've ever hosted or raced with. With a time of 32min 38sec Mike Herbert defended his title against an elite group of paddlers that kept it a race all the way down to the finish. US National Team Trail Winner Katie McElroy (33min 56sec) was a close fifth across the finish line and took the top women honors. Each were awarded $200 for winning.
I would like to thank our great volunteers for putting on an excellent race. They're so good that I'm allowed to race. Without them this race would not be. Also, I want to thank all the participants for coming out and paddling hard. Last but not least I want to thank all our great sponsors.
